KING KUIPER started writing their first songs in 2017 in a basement studio in East Berlin. Since then, the 5-piece Indie band have supported both national and international acts around Germany, played a handful of headlining shows in Berlin, and released a debut EP in 2021 which bandcamp.com praised for \u201ccentering their songs on big, anthemic choruses and surrounding them with razor-wire guitar lines\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 was an introspective year for the band, as they looked to evolve their sound, experimenting with funk and disco influences. The result is \u201cLate nite tales\u201d; their latest single has a driving bassline and rhythmic upbeat guitars, reminiscent of daft punk, whilst still keeping the signature sound of King Kuiper’s earlier work. The lyrics are also more reflective, contemplating on mental health and uncovering one\u2019s demons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023 is expected to be a big year. As they finish off 2022 with a live performance on ZDF, and start planning for a tour, King Kuiper plans to reach for the stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
